Overcoming Obstacles to Financial Stability
Outdoor recreation facilities are usually in remote areas. These facilities include State and federal parks, Adventure Centers and entrepreneurs. I remember the Nantahala Outdoor Center in the early 1970's. There was a small store, an old four room motel and new owners that enjoyed paddling whitewater. There had been several new owners. You had to want to go there to find it. River users were the primary customers- fishermen and an emerging whitewater paddling market. Most outdoor recreation facilities face the same obstacles today. You have outdated facilities built in out of the way places, emerging markets and many times new owners that are sportsmen not businessmen.
American Adventure Park Systems has part of the solution. Partnerships can bring new activities, new insight and new investment capital. Outdoor Recreation Facilities built in remote locations have to be a destination location. Each destination needs ten to twenty activities to attract the traffic needed to support the outdoor recreation facilities. Aerial adventure parks, zip lines, climbing towers, and canopy tours can enhance any location, provide additional activity, and boost revenues.
American Adventure Park Systems is working with State Park agencies to design, build, operate and finance Canopy tours and zip lines. We bring excitement, destination attractions, experience and revenue sharing to these outdoor facilities.
