confused.jpgASTM, ANSI, ACCT, PRCA, CEN, EN, PVM, SPRAT, UIAA, AEE, ASSE, CE, OSHA, NIOSH - that's a mouth full!

These are abbreviations for the agencies that provide some of the standards that go into regulating the safety of zip line canopy tours, challenge courses and aerial adventure parks. Certification, Standards and guidelines are available. In several states the standards of the American National Standards Institute which are based on the Association for Challenge Course Technology have been passed into law. The best way to sort through what is required for your area is to check with your Local Agency having Authority. American Adventure Park Systems designs, builds and operates parks that exceed the safety regulations.
